JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: EMPTY WORSHIP
“He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of
you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But
their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines
the commandments of men.’ For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the
tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such
things you do.” He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of
God, that you may keep your tradition.’” Mark 7:6-9
(NKJV).
Christianity is broken and has been perverted since men
realized the power of Jesus Christ. Men used that power and claimed the
authority of God and have created doctrines of their own in place of the Lord.
Christianity is broken and there must be a complete tearing down of the
foundation and an overhaul of the religion if souls are to be saved.
The Pharisees and Scribes had interjected their will upon
the people and Jesus came and called a spade a spade. Today is the day that I
call a spade a spade and say that men have interjected their will upon the
people and Christianity has suffered. Religion will get you nowhere if you are
complying with the traditions of men while ignoring the commandments of God.
Faith is meant to save souls, to guide lives toward
righteousness and to keep hope alive. Faith is meant to carry you through the
tough times and to help you get to heaven. Churches and their traditions and
doctrines that man has implemented and people continue with because they are
comforted by the familiar is not providing a growing population in heaven.
People have got to wake up and see that Christianity is
broken and needs truth and healing. People need to turn away from the glitter
and the traditions that have them going through the motions of worship only to
leave them without the tools to apply the gospel to their lives in any real
way.
God is waiting and willing to help you come to learn the
truth and to embrace that truth but people must be willing to want that honest
relationship that genuine faith provides.
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true
worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is
seeking such to worship Him.” John 4:23 (NKJV).
